20/5/2018 0 Comments Weekly wrap-up #29 (20/5/18)Hello all and welcome to the wrap-up for the week ending 20/5/18! This week was one where not everything went to plan. However, we still saw a a review come out. Sometimes it's the small things that make up a week. Too be honest, I found myself in a bit of a spot of trouble with stress regarding getting an assignment done, so I put all of my effort into that on Thursday. Don't worry, the What is a... instalment will come out next week, and we'll see some more activity as we head into the last couple of weeks of this semester of uni. Now, let's get into this wrap-up! News As planned, Tuesday saw no posts. However, as previously mentioned, Thursday was also the same. This was due to my energy going towards the assignment I had to get done. In case you're wondering, I did finish it on Thursday, so that's a tick in that box!

14/5/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #29 (14/5/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week beginning 14/5/18! I’m going to start ‘rejigging’ these weekly updates and wrap-ups to be more focussed on the website and book-sphere, so you this update is a bit of a test. When we get back on the vlog-horse, I’ll try to transition the style. It’ll be about making sure that these don’t become a ground for me to put down personal thoughts that totally take away from the point of this website, which is simply to ignite the story within you all and bringing out the storytellers in all of us. Anyway, I’m already going off on a tangent, so let’s get into this! News This new section (the name is still being workshopped) will cover anything you should know about this week that might be different to other weeks. For example, if I know I won’t be able to post something on a particular day. This week, we won’t be seeing anything on Tuesday. This isn’t something that will reoccur, I just have an assignment I need to focus on! Remember kids, studying is important, even the characters in most books have to study to do what they want. 11/5/2018 0 Comments Weekly wrap-up #28 (11/5/18)Hello all and welcome to the wrap-up for the week ending 11/5/18! I am shocked that we are already into May. Where has this year gone? Why is it going so quickly? I can't seem to keep up with it all! Before I know it I'll actually be qualified. It's such a crazy thought, but nonetheless I'm so excited to get to that part of my life. It's interesting to think about how for all this time, since the beginning of primary school to now, I've been studying (although maybe the early years of primary school wasn't exactly 'studying'). Then, by the end of this year that will all stop. It's been such a huge part of my life and I can't wait to achieve that goal and step into the next part of my life with TaleInferno by my side! It's Mother's Day this weekend, so I'd like to take a moment to say hello to all the mums out there. Being a mum is a hard yet undeniably rewarding job (from what I've heard), so it's fantastic that we get to celebrate you on this one day. However, if you're someone out there who doesn't have a mum for whatever reasons or you're not celebrating Mother's Day this weekend, I hope that you can spend this weekend doing the things that you love and be happy in doing so! Anyway, let's get into this wrap-up! Hello all and welcome to a combined wrap-up and update for the week starting 7/5/18! Firstly, I want to apologise for the silence on here over the last couple of weeks. It’s been a hectic time with a combination of everything happening. I mean, there were multiple birthdays, assignments due and I got sick for a good portion of time that stopped me from doing anything I really wanted to do! Nonetheless, here we are and everything seems okay… so far. As you would have seen, I have provided a whole bunch of content today on top of this update, so it’s time to get back into gear! During the time I was sick, I had some time to reorganise parts of my life. I knew I was sick due to the amount of stress I was putting myself under, so I decided to do a bit of reprioritising and shifting of timeframes. I have a lot planned for TaleInferno with a range of goals for content production but due to the amount happening in my life at the moment, I’m having to focus on smaller goals… like actually providing all the content I say I will in a week! Anyway, enough jibber jabber. Time to show you what’s in store this week! 23/4/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #27 (23/4/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week beginning 23/4/18! It's a little disappointing not to be editing a video for the update to provide to all of you. Don't get me wrong, I love writing blog posts and writing in general, but it's a lot of fun to change it up a little bit from time to time. I am definitely counting down the days till I have an upgraded internet connection and I, hopefully, don't have to sit around for three hours trying to upload a five minute video! The upgrade to my internet will also mean more creative work to be done to some content that I haven't be able to do. So, all in all, there is a lot to look forward to (as I may have said a lot at the beginning of the year... point still stands!). I want to make a disclaimer on the content for the week. You see, I've been a good little organiser this morning and I went through my diary for the next two weeks and planned what my life was going to look like. This included studying time, meetings, dinner with friends and family, a cycling race and so on. So, since I am aware that most of my time is taken up this week, it may be a bit challenging to post a lot this week. However, just as I do every week, I will try my best! I've got a few things planned (as you will see below) as well as something special in the back of my mind for Anzac Day this Wednesday. Enough talk about what I might be doing, let's check out what's actually planned! 21/4/2018 0 Comments Weekly wrap-up #26 (21/4/18)Hello all and welcome to the wrap-up for the week ending 21/4/18! I know, I know. I said way back when that all wrap-ups and updates would be in video form from here on in. However, after a long time trying to work around my absolutely horrendous internet, I have had to make the decision to postpone all video content until June. Why June? That's when my internet is scheduled to be fixed and upgraded, so hopefully that means I'll have a nice speedy internet that won't take over three hours to upload a five minute video! Nonetheless, the recordings I did at Middleton are still scheduled to be uploaded before then. So, either this coming week or the week after, I will be uploading those two videos either at uni or elsewhere and then that will be it. Something to look forward too, I guess! I have 100% confirmation on some really exciting news. So, I currently work full-time on a contract away from the website and that contract was extended. Wooo! I'm super excited and happy about this. I absolutely love where I work since I get to write and edit professionally all day everyday, so knowing I'm going to be where I am for longer fills me with a lot of motivation and joy. On the studying side of things, I'm slowly but surely getting through it all. Although I'm loving everything I'm studying, I can't wait to graduate and to finally call myself a qualified journalist, professional writer and creative writer. Maybe I should start a countdown? We shall see! Anyway, enough about that. Let's get into this old-fashioned, text post wrap-up! |
