Coming to our senses | Writing Wednesday #4

It’s time for another writing challenge. We’re kind of mashing up the second and third Writing Wednesday, paying particular focus to senses and memory. It’s time to jump into our minds and fish out the memories through our senses!
If you’re curious about the task, there are five cues with each needing to be written in one minute. The cues are:
  • The smell of citrus reminds me of…
  • The sound of aeroplanes reminds me of…
  • The taste of dark chocolate reminds me of…
  • The feeling of soft fur reminds me of…
  • The sight of roses reminds me of…

How did you go? One minute is not a lot of time but forcing ourselves to write a memory in such a short amount of time can inspire and motivate us to expand on it more. Maybe a part of a story you’ve been thinking about can be written in this way? Give it a try!

The music in this video is called 'Sally Goodin'' by Nat Keefe with The Bow Ties.

That’s it from me. Remember to ignite the story and I’ll see you again soon!
