Today, I'm talking to you about ecocriticism. It's time to start thinking about the environment, nature, life forces and all that jazz, and how it impacts or is portrayed in literary works. The book I mention in the video is called ‘Beginning Theory: an introduction to literary and cultural theory’ by Peter Barry.
The environment in literary works can occasionally be glossed over when it's not being shoved right in our faces. When you start to think about it, you'll probably find the the environment in most of the books you read will have some kind of impact. It could be a hint of where a person is or when it is set, or it could be something deeper and symbolic. Let me know what you think! That's it from me. Remember to ignite the story and I'll see you again soon!
