Weekly update #16 (29/1/18)

Picture
Hi all and welcome to the update for the week starting 29/1/18!

With RTX Sydney 2018 on this weekend, I'll be flying out to Sydney on Friday. I have made the decision not to take my laptop with me for a couple of reasons, in which case I will not be able to post content. That means this week is going to be a little bit shorter and the weekly wrap-up will be posted on Thursday rather than Friday. However, I will be on social media for most of the weekend, so make sure to like and follow TaleInferno on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

I am feeling much better compared to when I wrote last week's weekly wrap-up. The stomach bug I had has passed, thankfully. If there's one thing I love equal to reading and writing is eating, and having that taken away from me for a day was very distressing and upsetting. Here's hoping I don't get sick again this weekend (knock on wood!). Speaking of which, I cannot wait for what's in store this weekend. I can predict myself buying a lot of merch, so expect some not-very-model-like pictures on my Instagram! After this weekend, I will have plenty of content to post over the coming weeks, so this is where things will really kick off!

Now let's get into this update!

Reviews
I will be reviewing Jennifer Niven's All the Bright Places. You can expect this to be published on Tuesday evening. If I get the time on Thursday I'll try and post the review for Perfect Prey by Helen Fields alongside the weekly wrap-up... but no promises!

Blog
To coincide with the review of All the Bright Places, I plan on writing a personal blog about why I think it's important for writers to write about issues that are hard to talk about. There are other personal blog posts I want to do in future but I am yet to decide if this will be a series of not. If most of you like it and want to see more, then I'll start a series! So, let me know what you think when it's posted.

Currently reading
Crossing the Lines by Sulari Gentill

I've already nearly finished this text and I cannot WAIT to review this very unique story! Keep an eye out on social media for when I finish this text and move onto the next because I bet it will be sooner rather than later!

What's next?
Calling Major Tom by David M. Barnett
Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin

Following these two books, I will begin a series. Which one? You'll have to wait and see!

Achievements for the week
Unlike last week, I am determined to start being more consistent with my exercise regime. The plan is to go to the gym twice and do some cardio early every morning (except Friday this week). I have already started strong, getting up early this morning to do my cardio. Anyone got advice on how to keep motivated?

Also, another achievement of mine is to get book recommendations from as many of the RoosterTeeth cast to contribute to my ever-growing list to review for this website. Although I won't be able to check in on this achievement on Thursday, I will keep you all up-to-date as the weekend progresses!

And that's it! I'm definitely looking forward to this week. I've already got a few plans for content in the coming weeks, but is there anything any of you would like to see on this website? A new series of blogs posts? Reviews of a different kind? Let me know!

And, of course, don't forget to ignite the story!
