27/11/2017 0 Comments Weekly update #13 (27/11/17)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week starting 27/11/17! Guess what? For all the big plans I had for this website, I did not consider I had already booked out most of my days all last week with other plans and events. So, as you would have seen, not much happened last week. Sorry! I have already gone through my diary for this week and have planned the content for the website around other plans. So, hopefully, this week I can actually provide you with more than just a weekly update! More news, I have resigned from my casual job that I did on weekends. Since I am now working full-time and continuing to study uni next year, it was getting a bit much working all day for seven days a week. Therefore, I sadly had to say goodbye. I loved the job I had, but the new job I have is exactly what I wanted as a career. To work in a position where I get to use my skills in professional and creative writing, plus dabbling in journalism as well, it has been an absolute blast so far and I cannot wait to see where it takes me. Anyway, let's get into this update!

20/11/2017 0 Comments Weekly update #12 (20/11/17)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week starting 20/11/17! If you read last weeks wrap-up, you would know that my studies are finally over for this year and I am free! Therefore, I can now uphold my promise and post all the content I have wanted to post but have not been able to. I am super excited. It feels very refreshing to be in this position and I have a lot of things ready to roll out, so I hope you're as excited as I am! This week, I also have the announcement that I have been given the opportunity to be at what is called the TV Industry Night at my university. What this means is that one of the assignments I produced for my Television Journalism class was chosen to be watched by some journalists and other very important people who will judge my assignment as well as my peers and give out awards. I was also nominated to be the news bulletin reader for one group. I feel very proud to have achieved this. It's definitely nice to be recognised for the hard work I put into everything I do. Anyway, let's get into the update! 18/11/2017 0 Comments Weekly wrap-up #11 (18/11/17)Hello all and welcome to the wrap-up for the week ending 18/11/17! As you may have seen on Twitter, I tweeted to let you all know that blog posts would be postponed until tonight since I had not been able to do the wrap-up for the week before and I really wanted to focus on finishing my studies for the year. You know what this means? More content! Yes, that's right. After this time of a long lull, reviews are going to be coming back in full force plus more content I've been planning, including some fun Christmas stuff! I am very excited for the next couple of months now that I've got some spare time. Working full-time while also working weekends plus having all of my assignments to finish and an exam to study for was pretty full on. Having the time to sit down and finally focus my energy on this website is very refreshing. I'll go into more of the details of what to expect in the weekly update on Monday, but I can't wait to get it all under way! Anyway, let's get into this wrap-up! 7/11/2017 0 Comments Weekly update #11 (6/11/17)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week starting 6/11/17! I wasn't feeling well last night to be able to post this but, as I have said quite often before, better late than never! I've been getting closer to the end of my university studies for this year and the excitement for the holidays is really starting to build. By the end of next week, I shall be finished and free, and that means more time for this website and more content for you! This morning, while I was on my way to work, I heard it. The first sign that the end of the year was near. Blaring on the radio was none other than Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas is you, and I knew that it was time. I love Christmas for a range of reasons, but I mostly love it for the joy that people show during the lead up to it. It's an interesting change and I see the transition mostly at work, where customers come in at most times of the year just going about their business. Christmas changes this, even for those who don't enjoy Christmas. They see the decorations and their faces light up. That's what I love about this season and I can't wait to share it with all of you! Anyway, lets get into this update. 4/11/2017 0 Comments Weekly wrap-up #9 & #10 (4/11/17)Hello all and welcome to the wrap-up for the week ending 4/11/17! As you can see, this is the wrap-up for both this week and last week since I was unable to post one last week (and it would be odd having a wrap-up #10 without a #9). Both weeks have been similar with the amount I have put on this website, which is very minimal. However, both weeks have also proven to be very busy for me, working full-time and casually while also finishing up my final assignments. I mentioned in the weekly update that I would be focusing all my spare time on this website once my final assignments were done, which is true. I have a lot of plans lined up when I get the time, so make sure to stay tuned after the next couple of weeks because things are going to get pretty busy on here! For a little hint about what's in store, there'll be a LOT of reviews, a couple of genre blog posts, another instalment in my creative writing journey, and that's just the beginning! Anyway, let's get into this wrap-up! |
