12/2/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #18 (12/2/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week starting 12/2/18! Goodness me this year is going fast. It's already the middle of February! A lot has happened so far this year and it's got me so pumped for what the rest has on offer. There's also some great opportunities popping up for future endeavours, which is absolutely fantastic. Also, on another front, we reached the 600 views mark over the weekend! I don't know about you but that has me jumping out of my seat with excitement. I know that compared to what else is out there, 600 views can be seen as not a lot. However, it's huge for me and as I continue to watch it grow I'll get more and more excited. Thank you all so much again! University is back in two weeks time. That's right, TWO WEEKS! I know that the holidays university students get here are pretty long, particularly if you don't have exams. However, I have been so busy with redesigning this website and working at my full-time job that it has been such an amazing whirlwind. With each passing day, I feel myself growing in confidence and developing more skills to write in many different tones and styles. I'm hoping this experience in the 'real world' will have a positive impact on what I produce for my assignments. I know the more I write the more I'll improve. Hopefully that is the case! Although I don't have to really worry about that yet... let us relax in the free time I have! Anyway, let's get into this update. Reviews Currently looking at one review. You can read about Perfect Prey by Helen Fields on Wednesday! Blog I plan on posting a blog entry on Tuesday and Thursday this week. If you noticed on the TaleInferno Twitter I shared a link to an ABC news article on writing tips. I've been inspired, and now I want to write about what my number one writing tip is to everyone who asks. That is planned for Tuesday. The next couple of reviews look at mystery and crime. Therefore, Thursday will have the third instalment in the Genre series, looking at crime and what is involved in a story of that genre. Also, with Valentines Day this Wednesday, I suggest keeping an eye out for a sneaky themed post! Currently reading Calling Major Tom by David M Barnett Unfortunately, my weekend filled up with a lot of activities that I didn't have the opportunity to finish this. However, I should have it done sometime this week. What's next? Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin The Tomorrow series by John Marsden Achievements for the week It's starting to pick up at work, so I've written a long to do list at my desk to have a whole bunch of stuff complete by the end of the week. I shall let you know if all of it is achieved! Other than that, I want to get to the gym at least twice during the week. I'll be getting up quite earlier this week for work, so I won't have time to do my cardio... but that's okay, I'll get back into that next week. And that's it for this week! There's a lot happening in my life at the moment and a lot of decisions to be made. It shouldn't affect this website, so don't worry! No matter what is thrown my way this year, this website is going to be a priority of mine.
