19/2/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #19 (19/2/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week starting 19/2/18! I'm slightly amused by this weeks update. Mostly because it's #19 and the week is starting on the 19th. Ah, it's the small things in life! Anyway, it's my last week before university starts. I'm super excited about the fact that it's my last year but I'm curious to know how it will all play out. I have a structure in my head regarding the organisation of time and when I need to do assignments, but it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out with work. I'm not worried at all because I've got it all under control, I'm only curious by it all. In other news, the Adelaide Fringe is now on! I've been able to catch one show so far, which was quite funny. The festival I'm most looking forward too as we head into March is the Adelaide Writer's Festival. I went last year and listened to a lady talk about Jane Austen. Going to festivals primarily for writer's is so fascinating. Seeing people sitting together writing or chatting to each other about their favourite books is so inspiring. I'm not sure how I'll fit in the time to see anyone but I will give it my best shot! Maybe I'll write a blog about it! Anyway, let's get into this update. Reviews I'm going to try and review Perfect Prey by Helen Fields on Tuesday and Bitter Fruits by Alice Clark-Platts on Thursday. We'll see how we go but I am determined to do it! Blog Third instalment in the Genre series will be available on Wednesday. We'll be looking at what makes Crime fiction. Currently reading Calling Major Tom by David M. Barnett. Yes, I know. I wanted to have this done over the weekend. Unfortunately, on Saturday I felt a bit sick and I struggled focussing on anything, so I I was unable to read. Sunday I have no excuse... I was busy! What's next? Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden Achievements for the week I will have Calling Major Tom finished this week! I will also try and get to the gym at some point. I've been feeling a bit unsettled because I feel disorganised. However, once I get used to this new routine of mine, I should be able to achieve some more. Also, I'm revelling in the fact I don't have assignments yet... so, it's all about relaxation with me at the moment! And that's it for this week! I'm going to try and not let what happened last week happen again. I want to make sure new content is available as often as possible. I do understand that there may be times where I don't have a choice and will need a night to focus on work or my studies. However, I aim to have a minimum of four posts up each week (including the update and wrap-up).
