26/2/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #20 (26/2/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week starting 26/2/18! Well would you like at that? We've made it to #20! This year has been amazing so far with the amount of support I have received for this website. I have some big plans for this in the second half of the year. If everything goes to plan, I'll start dropping hints on here. Until then, we'll be expanding on the current series I have on the blog and continuing with the reviews. I also hope to start writing a bit about the work I do at University as a lot of what I learn is based around writing and story-telling. We'll see what happens... All I want is to make sure you're all getting consistent and interesting content! Speaking of which, today marks the first day back at University for me. It's my last year, which I've mentioned previously, and I'm super excited about it. After all the hard work I have put towards my studies since I was in reception in 2001 (I think?), it'll be nice to have my two degrees in my hands. To say I'm qualified in the areas that I love will be a dream come true. I've considered doing further studies because I think the prospect of being a Doctor would be amazing... However, I think I'll get my degrees and work for a little bit first! Anyway, let's get into the update! Reviews I plan on getting Bitter Fruits by Alice Clark-Platts out on Tuesday. Depending on what I feel like posting, the review for Crossing the Lines by Sulari Gentil may be published on Thursday. Blog After the debacle of not getting the third instalment of my Genre series out last week, I'll aim to have that posted on Wednesday. Even though it's only my first week back at University, I've already learned some really interesting things to do with writing and language. So, I'm thinking on Thursday I'll write up a blog post detailing what I've learned. I might be able to start a blog series going through each week and what's happened... but we'll see! Currently reading Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin. Too be fair, I haven't started to read this yet. I've been super busy the past couple of days but I'll start it tomorrow! What's next? The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden Once we get into this series, I'll list the books I'll be reading after it. Stay tuned! Achievements for the week Honestly, I just want to get everything published this week! My new schedule involves me writing up all the content for the week in one night and having them queued for their appropriate days. Hopefully this means I'll be able to get all the content out as well as have time to complete assignments and go to the gym after work. Speaking of the gym, I'd like to go at least once this week... we'll see! And that's it for this week! Although I don't have anything concrete for Thursday, I'll definitely be putting something up. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year will bring. I know at some point I'm going to feel a bit stressed but this blog has been a great stress reliever so far... Let's hope that continues!
