19/3/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #23 (19/3/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week starting 19/3/18! This could be one of the last (if not THE last) written weekly update as we transition over to video content! I am still in the process of organising everything. However, by the end of the week I should have everything sorted. If not, well it'll be another week to wait. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. I also want to make sure what I create is to a good standard so that you all enjoy it! It would be useless to rush into everything and produce something that is bad (although I'm not saying that won't happen because I am not the best video editor out there!). It'll be a fun experience and I'm excited about getting into it. Better get ready to see my face more often! In other news, I have a new little office space that I decorated over the weekend. If you saw the Instagram posts, you would have seen the shelf with all its Disney-themed lights. This new office space allows me a spot to sit down and focus on uni work and TaleInferno, which makes it all the more serious to me. It's very motivating having my own little space dedicated to the work I am passionate about. It means I have a place to be creative and do what I love, so if that isn't motivating I don't know what is! Anyway, let's get into this update. Reviews Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin will be reviewed on Wednesday. This was a very interesting book that put a lot of subjects I was uneducated about into perspective. This is definitely a review you'll want to read! Blog Two blog posts are again scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday. Last week I planned on writing a post about a linguistic theory but instead I wrote about the new logo and exciting new content on the way. Therefore, Tuesday will see the original post from last week being published. Thursday we're going to be looking at either feature writing in journalism and its storytelling qualities or another linguistic concept. Maybe both? Who knows! You'll have to wait and see. Currently reading The Dead of the Night by John Marsden I completed Tomorrow, when the War Began over the weekend. If you follow TaleInferno on Instagram, you would have seen it. I'm hoping to have second book of the Tomorrow series complete by the end of this week. What's next? The Third Day, the Frost Darkness, Be My Friend Burning for Revenge The Night is for Hunting The Other Side of Dawn All of the above are written by John Marsden and are a part of the Tomorrow series. I'm going to make it my mission of the next couple of weeks to have them all complete to ensure we have a whole bunch of reviews coming out. Best keep posted on social media to keep up with it! Achievements for the week I have a lot of tasks lined up at work that need to be completed this week plus another assignment I'd like to have completed. So, those are my two achievements this week. If I can achieve both of those, I will be very happy. If I can achieve those PLUS have all the planned content up on their scheduled days, I'll be absolutely chuffed! Fingers crossed for the latter! And that's it for this week. I hope you're all ready for what's to come! It'll be an interesting experience transitioning these updates and wrap-ups onto video. Nonetheless, I am excited about it. It'll be a new way for all of you to engage with TaleInferno as well as a new opportunity to ignite the story, which is the main goal! Any ideas related to storytelling you'd like to see via video content? Let me know!
