3/9/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #36 (3/9/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week beginning 3/9/18! What did you think of the August wrap-up last week? I had an absolute blast making that video. It’s also a good example of the technical difficulties I tend to experience more often than not! Nonetheless, the video came out on Saturday morning (it was Friday somewhere, I’m sure of it), so you all got the vlog content that I promised. I don’t know if you have noticed but I am very excited about everything that’s happening on TaleInferno and how we’re progressing. There are things that can always be improved, but I am very happy with how we’re tracking along. Content is a little more consistent than before and will continue to increase as we head into the latter part of the year. Anyway, enough blabbering, time to get into this update! News On the video game front, I’m still organising some of the bits and pieces I need to start putting that together. However, as we wait for that to get sorted, make sure you let me know what games you want me to play to ignite the story! Also, not only are we jumping into video game stories but we’re going to be getting into some ‘Choose your own adventure’ books in future videos. So, if you haven’t had your dose of storytelling and igniting the story, you’ll get more chances to do that in future! Reviews The Other Side of Dawn by John Marsden. My main goal is to get ‘What is a… semicolon?’ out this week, but I will also try my hardest to get this review out this week too! When: Wednesday or Thursday Blog/vlog ‘What is a… semicolon?’ will definitely be coming out this week after being delayed for two weeks in a row! So, keep an eye out for that early this week. When: Tuesday On the vlog front, I’m going to talk to you about ‘Crucial sites’ and ‘Critical moments’ in linguistics, and how we are able to use these in our storytelling! So, if you’re someone who likes to put your characters in testing situations, you should give this a watch! When: Friday, if we don’t have any technical difficulties like last week! Currently reading I Can’t Stop Jacking Off by Mr Socially Awkward What’s next? Reviews The whole Tomorrow series review This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho And, recently added to this list, The Rider by Tim Krabbé Blog/vlog Same as last week, we’ll continue to adventure down the ‘What is a…’ tunnel and look at the em and en rule. Vlog-wise, we’re going to jump into some more linguistic theories that relate to storytelling and I’m going to start talking about some literary theories. So, keep an eye out for those! If you watched the August wrap-up, you’ll know I want to start doing some fun ‘Choose your own adventure’ vlogs. So, keep an eye out for it because it should be interesting! Books to read The Legends of Eve by Anonymous Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks Don’t forget to let me know if there are any books you want me to read and review! There are so many stories out there that deserve their stories to be ignited, and you might hold that story in your hands! And that’s it for this week. Remember to ignite the story and I’ll see you again soon!
