17/9/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #38 (17/9/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week beginning 17/9/18! There is so much happening at the moment and I am exhilarated by all of it! University is drawing to a close, which means more content on the horizon, and I'm honestly so excited about it all! I can't thank all of you enough for all the support so far. Storytelling is at the heart of everything that I do and to be able to share that love with you is so awesome. Anyway, this update is a long one so let's get cracking! News With some adjustments done in my study, I can now start to record these video game story reviews! I’m super excited about getting this started. As I have said before and will continue to say, video games are fantastic platforms for storytelling and there are many out there that use some fantastic techniques to immerse us into them. So, send me your video game requests! I want to jump in as many stories as I can. At this point in time, I am limited to Xbox 360 and Xbox One. However, I am working towards other platforms. Reviews Books University got the better of me last week, so I had to do some reprioritising. However, my priority is to get the review out for The Other Side of Dawn by John Marsden early this week. When: Tuesday or Wednesday Video games If my preparation this week goes to plan, I’m hoping to have the first instalment of a video game storytelling review up. I’ll be playing around with it a little bit to figure out the best way to do it, so expect the way they look, sound and all that to change over the first couple of videos! What video game will I start with? Well, that’s a surprise of course! When: Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Blog/vlog ‘What is an… em or en rule?’ will come out this week if I don’t inundate myself with university stuff again! When: Wednesday or Thursday And, for our Vlog Friday, we will be jumping into another short, sharp and shiny (hopefully!) vlog about the Psychoanalytic criticism literary theory! Since I dabbled in it slightly in the previous ‘Let’s talk about…’ vlog, it only makes sense to talk about it this week! When: Friday (or Saturday, if I have more technical difficulties!). Currently reading The Legends of Eve: A Warriors Past by Anonymous What’s next? Reviews Books The whole Tomorrow series review This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho The Rider by Tim Krabbé I Can’t Stop Jacking Off by Mr Socially Awkward Video games These are all surprises at the moment. All will be revealed soon! Blog/vlog As mentioned last week, we’re still going through the punctuation marks. Next up is ‘What is a… Full stop?’. Our next Vlog Friday will be ‘Let’s talk about feminist criticism!’. It might sound straight forward but it’s a bit more complicated than you might think! Books to read Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks I’m super duper excited about where TaleInferno is heading with these vlogs, reviews and more! Your messages of support, comments and everything else make it all the more fun and special, and I want to thank you all for joining me on this journey! That’s it from me! Remember to ignite the story and I’ll see you again soon!
