26/11/2018 0 Comments Weekly update #45 (26/11/18)Hello all and welcome to the update for the week beginning 26/11/18! Can you believe that we are in the final week of November? Where did this year go? The Christmas Carols are playing in almost every shopping centre, and it may be either snowing or boiling hot outside depending on where you are (unfortunately, I am the latter). Either way, everyone is starting to seem a bit more joyous. I don’t know if you ever notice this, but I always tend to find people are a little bit happier during the silly season, and this is coming from someone who has worked in retail and hospitality over this season! Anyway, I’ll soon be putting on my reindeer antlers to get into the spirit of things! Now, let’s get into this update! News The website redesign is still in the works, so at any point you may be looking upon a brand-new website. As I have mentioned previously, this website redesign will bring about some new things that will be happening on the website. So, watch this space! Reviews The Rider by Tim Krabbe is up next! If you’re into your cycling, whether as a rider or watcher, or even if you’re into sports, then I’d be keeping watch for this review. When: Tuesday Blog/vlog The next in the ‘Why I love storytelling’ series will be coming out this week. What will it be about this week, I wonder? When: Thursday We’ll have the second Writing Wednesday coming out! What did you think of the last one? I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for future Writing Wednesdays. When: Wednesday Unfortunately, last week we didn’t have a Vlog Friday. So, keep an eye out for ‘Let’s talk about Symbolism!’ this week. When: Friday And, last but not least, we’re heading into the last couple of days of November. You know what that means! It’s time to wrap-up the month that has been and get prepared for the end of the year. When: Friday or Saturday Currently reading Witch Born by Nicholas Bowling What’s next? Reviews I Can’t Stop Jacking Off by Mr Socially Awkward The Legends of Eve: A Warriors Past by Anonymous Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks Blog/vlog We will still be connecting about what we love about storytelling. Although what I’m writing about is to do with my love for storytelling, I want these posts to get you thinking about what it is you love about storytelling. So, I hope my rambling on in these blog posts will evoke something within you! As I mentioned last week, we’ll continue talking about different areas of writing with the next Vlog Friday covering metaphors and similes. And, finally, with Christmas and New Year’s coming up, there will definitely be some themed posts and videos around the corner! Books to read Did you see my announcement video about this? There is a tonne of books to read, as well as others that some of you have requested (thank you to those who have asked!). In case you didn’t watch the video, here are the books that I will be reading through for future reviews:
As I have mentioned in the announcement, some of these books are part of a series, so when I get to them I’ll make sure I have the rest of the books at the ready! Also, there are the books I have been requested to read. I have not put them on this list since they are my little secrets! Make sure to tune in for next week’s update to find out! Anyway, that’s it from me. Remember to ignite the story and I’ll see you again soon!
