1/2/2018 0 Comments Weekly wrap-up #16 (1/2/18)![]() Hello all and welcome to the wrap-up for the week ending 1/2/18! Looky here, we've made it into the second month of the year. Where has the time gone? I always hear people say that when they get older the years go by quicker. Now I finally understand the sentiment. Nonetheless, what a month it was! The website redesign was finally unveiled and the website was more active than ever. The stats have been improving and so to does my motivation. The support so far has been astounding and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds. It'll be a challenge balancing work, this website and going through my final year of studying. However, the excitement, motivation and inspiration that I've had so far makes me think I'll be able to get through it all! As you can see, the week hasn't really ended. Although it's only Thursday, I'll be jetting off tomorrow to see some people who have helped inspire me and grow in confidence. In light of this, the laptop will be staying at home where it is safe and I won't forget it. So, here we are. Don't worry though! If you keep up with the website on social media, you'll see me being active by documenting the awesome experience that this weekend will surely be. Then, after this weekend I'll be back on the website with more content to post! I see a second instalment of the Creative writing journey in the near future, as well as some interesting reviews! Let's get into this early wrap-up! ![]() Reviews All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven was posted on Tuesday. This book is such a beautifully written young adult story, so I'd recommend you give it a read! You can check out the review here. Blog After some technical issues, I was unable to publish the blog post I planned on Wednesday. However, I got it out for all of you to read a little earlier. It's a post that explains why I think writing is so important, not just for me but for many others. It's a bit different from previous posts as it has a personal side to it. I made the decision to not have it as part of my Creative writing journey series as it's a part of my life that has always been around and doesn't just affect me. Anyway, enough yammering about it. You can read it here! Currently reading I finished Crossing the Lines by Sulari Gentill today and WOW what an ending. I cannot WAIT to review this book for all of you! I'll now be moving on to Calling Major Tom by David M. Barnett. What's next? Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin Then, I'll be cracking onto a series. I'll reveal which one next week! Achievements of the week Hurray for posting all planned content! Three cheers for consistent content: cheers cheers cheers! Other than that, everything outside of the blog was quite successful too. Did a LOT of walking at work this week, so I've been very exhausted coming home that I've only been able to go to the gym once. I was also able to get up early and do cardio... twice. I'll try and improve on these fronts next week! Quotation of the week 'I would still paint if the world was dark and nobody could see anything.' --Willow Merriweather, Crossing the Lines by Sulari Gentill, pg. 16 And that's it for this week! I'm so excited for what this weekend has in store, and I can't wait to come back and tell you all about it! Happy February, and have a great weekend!
