16/2/2018 0 Comments Weekly wrap-up #18 (16/2/18)![]() Hello all and welcome to the wrap-up for the week ending on 16/2/18! What a week! I know I didn't post much but it was for a very good reason. Now that we're into the end of February, the projects at work are ramping up and I have had my first taste at the responsibilities I now hold. I am absolutely chuffed with where I am at my work and I am still loving every minute of it. After this week, I am fully aware of what's ahead and I can now plan and organise my life to ensure everything both at work and on this website are done. I also realise that university will bring a whole other layer. However, I feel very confident in that aspect of my life, so I shouldn't have anything to worry about... I hope! I am currently writing this feeling absolutely exhausted after a very strenuous week. It might sound like I'm annoyed or stressed but because I'm doing something I really enjoy I have loved every second of it. Honestly, I can't wait to curl into bed and sleep for a good amount of hours to charge up my batteries to jump into another week of fun challenges. I am so glad to be where I am at work because it really highlights the idea that if you do the stuff that you love it doesn't feel like work. Knowing that I get to sit at a desk all day and have the task of writing professionally or engaging with people to organise communications is such a thrill, and I'm hoping that flows onto here. Anyway, enough about all of that. Let's get into this wrap-up! ![]() Reviews Unfortunately, I planned on reviewing Perfect Prey by Helen Fields. With everything that happened and some technical difficulties, I was unable too. I will make sure to have that done at the beginning of next week! Blog I was unable to write up the third instalment in the Genre series and I wasn't able to publish my something I planned for Valentine's day. However, I was able to post about my number one writing tip, so that's something! You can read about it here. Currently reading Calling Major Tom by David M. Barnett I have been so busy this week I have not had the opportunity to pick this book up and read it. I think I owe this book some time of the weekend! What's next? Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden Achievements for the week This week has seen a lot of huge achievements at work and a lot of good news. However, my goals to go to the gym were not reached nor was I able to write up all the planned posts and finish Calling Major Tom. Oh well. Hopefully next week is better! Quotation of the week 'To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.' --Victor Hugo, Les Miserables And that's it this week. I cannot begin to explain how busy I was this week and how exhausted I have felt coming home after work. However, I am now fully aware of all the new responsibilities I have and how much work is expected of me. Now, I can plan with a better understanding and work towards a good balance between this website and the other parts of my life. I'll make sure a week like this one doesn't occur again any time soon!
